Loom Bands Galore

I just got myself a set of Loom Bands and I was so excited to try it out.

I bought my set at 1StopBiz for Php150 but for a limited time it's now sold at only Php100! This set is perfect for those who just want to try it out first before investing on those expensive ones.

The set consists of 600pcs bands, 24pcs s-hook, loom board, multi-purpose crochet, and instruction manual.

The instruction manual only had instructions on how to make a single loom band which in my opinion is not so nice to look at. I suggest you start your loom band adventure by making the basic fishtail.

But don't fret, youtube is overflowing with lots of loom band tutorials that you'll never run out of projects to do.

Warning: This is a very addictive hobby. I ended up doing 3 more projects for 3 straight days since I got the kit. Heheheh I really had a hard time doing the Star Burst pattern. I had to start over 3 times! But nothing beats the feeling of satisfaction once you complete it.

DIY: Felt Mum Flowers

Here's another cute felt flower DIY. This one is super easy, just about anybody can do this. Enjoy!

Materials Needed:

Felt Cloth
Scissors
Ruler and Pencil for measuring and marking
Glue Gun
Earrings or Studs (optional)

Steps:
1. Cut out strips of felt 1" width and 12" length (depending on how big you want your flower to be).

2. On one side of the strip, cut out slits all the way till the end.
3. Roll the strip to form the flower. Put some hot glue every once in a while.
4. Form your flower as you want it. Put a stud in middle if you like =D You're done!

You can also make loopy mums with the same step. Just have the strips in 2" width. Fold the strip in half and glue one side of the strip before cutting the slits. These looks really nice too.

I hope you enjoyed making these flowers as much as I did. Next stop on my DIY series is how to make rosettes. =D

DIY: Felt Roses

Here's a simple tutorial on how to make your own DIY roses. It requires tedious cutting though (",) Enjoy!

Materials Needed:
For Will You? To I Do Template (Click Here)
Felt Cloth
Scissors
Glue Gun

Steps:
1. Trace and cut out the template on your felt cloth. You will have a spiral circle.

2. Start rolling from the outer end. Continue rolling and try to keep the bottom straight. Add glue every now and then to keep the flower together.

3. You will find a circle when you reach the end of the cloth. Glue this to the bottom of your flower to become its base.

Whoala! You are done! You may try to use other type of felts if you want. I used soft felt cloth for the pink one and hard felt cloth for the blue and yellow ones.

My First DIY Chrysanthemum Flower

Do It Yourself and Inspirations

Our wedding crew is almost complete and we have only a year na lang before our wedding. hahaha ang tagal pa pero feeling ko mabilis lang yan one year. Shocks! We still don't have a motif yet. =( Initially it was red or maroon pero since my mom doesn't like it saka one of our friend who's a soon-to-be din are having red as their motif - I guess having red as our motif is out. We are now thinking of having pastel colors. Below are inspiration pics and also list of DIYs we plan to do for our wedding.

Cartoon 101

Wedding invites nowadays usually includes a caricature or cartoon of the couple but having someone do the job for you would cost 1000 pesos or more. So I turn on to google to find me a tutorial on how to create our own cartoon and I have found this easy to follow guide:
