Shortlist Caterers

It's so hard to decide on a caterer especially if on a very tight budget. huhuhuh...

Below are our shortlisted caterers that fits our budget. We need to try the food out first before making any decisions though.. Will be posting pics and reviews on our next food tastings with them (para hindi rin naman ma-forget ang experience) =D

Quido's Grill Sample Set-up

Food Review: [06.29.2012] We had our food tasting in an actual wedding. We were requested to be at the venue 3 hours before the event. We had the chance to see the actual set-up and it was simple but elegant naman. Their food was also good, it has a homey feel to it. Quido's is one of the caterers we'll definitely be considering since very affordable sila and good naman food nila. To read more about this review, click here.

Food Review: [06.16.2012] Had our food tasting na. The food was okay pero normal lang. Me and fiance both like the Kare-kare and the old-fashion salad but other than that so-so lang. But I must commend that they are very attentive and accommodating. I still recommend them to other soon-to-be couples since they are affordable and they have a wide variety of menu to choose from din.

Food Review: [06.12.2012] The food was overwhelming during our food tasting - as in isang plate talaga per viand. We were so full after. hehehe The food was delicious! We both have our personal favorites. We definitely would be considering Henry's. I really appreciate that the food tasting was very personalized, they served us the menu of our choice. Pero syempre we are still open to other more affordable caterers once we get to try their food.

Food Review: Super sarap ng food especially the desserts! I also love it that the chef reinvents his dishes. Ordinary food with a twist! We were not able to take pics of their set-up though, pero very simple lang because the chef is more concerned with the food than the set-up. But all that will change because they are now partnering with Gideon as their event stylist! Wah! Kakainis! I want them kaso for now, hindi siya fit sa budget =(

Food Review: [06.24.2012] We had our food tasting at Fernwoods Garden, Q.C. The food was so-so lang and the desserts were too sweet and was not cold enough. =( Avengoza is off our list.

Food Review: [07.14.2012] We had our food tasting at East Tulips Garden, Pasig City. We love how they have set up the place, simple but elegant. And nice din ung set up ng food buffet. We did not fave on all their served menu though. We liked the Vegetable Au Gratin, Chicken Cordon Bleu and Fussili ala Putanesca. Their pork and beef viands are rare done kaya medyo chewy and hard to swallow for me. Their desserts were yummy din kaso hindi na malamig. Sayang... I have asked Ms. Michelle to customize our menu to Filipino and she said she'll send it to me by next week. We'll be considering them depending on the menu that they will present to us. Food Review: [06.16.2012] We had our food tasting at their restaurant, Cuisine Centrale, sa Q.C. Hindi masyado sikat ang Royalty catering, I have only discovered it through a van passing by then I googled it. hehehe Their food tasting is not for free, you will have to pay for the per pax price of your chosen or selected menu, which is fair enough for us saka they also allow na 1 pax lang ang i-order ninyo. And I must say, we are so satisfied with the food. Ang sarap! Yung chicken inasal lang ang hindi naman nagustuhan kasi it did not taste like inasal e. Royalty catering definitely is one of our possible option. Highly recommended!

Food Review: [07.14.2012] We went to Casa Blanca, Intramuros to check out Madel's wedding set-up. The venue was quite small and has lots of cement posts. =( Taas pa sana expectations ko sa Casa Blanca considering medyo expensive ang venue cost. Anways, back to Ma Del's - they dressed up the place pretty well. Ganda ng mga centerpieces and they provided a sofa for the couple. We had the pleasure also to meet Ms. Anj. She was very cheerful and friendly. She handed out our take home for food tasting. And when we tasted their food at home, it was delicious. We are now considering to have them as our caterer. Food Review: [07.01.2012] We dropped by at their office in Taft to have our food tasting. There were already lots of couples there when we arrived. We were promptly served with their dishes. Their dishes in our opinion were just so-so. On set-up naman - since they are already long in the business, I must say some are quite impressive naman. You will already be contented with their standard set-up na talaga. However, we won't be considering Julio's since we just found out that they have increased their package prices.
