Getting back in shape with KFit

I have tried really hard to get back in shape through diet but always gain back lost weight over the weekend. Exercise was never an option for me because I get bored easily going to gym because I don't have a routine thus I get less motivated every time.

Lucky for me that I found KFit and I was invited to join them for a free 30 days trial. KFit gets you access to many fitness studios, classes and gyms throughout Metro Manila with just one monthly membership fee of Php999. Their list of activities is really extensive that you'll be overwhelmed as to which class to attend first. Some of the activities that caught my attention are: Zumba, Boxing, Yoga, Dance classes, Shooting, Archery, Swimming, Wall Climbing and of course Gym access.

But before I get all hyped about it, I still have to try it out first before judging if this membership is fit for me. Let me tell you my experiences with their partnered studios during my one month trial and you'll be the judge if you think this is also for you.

1. FTX Fitness Exchange
2/F Three Salcedo Place, 123 Tordesillas Street, Makati, 1226 Metro Manila, Philippines
+6328223311
Activity: Zumba
Schedule: 7:00 AM - 8:00 AM
I was 20mins late but they still permitted me to take the class. I was immediately assisted to the class when I arrived. The room was a bit small for more than 10 students but we were still able to move freely regardless of the space. It was my first time to do Zumba and amazingly I was able to catch up with the routine. It was a really fun activity and the music was also up-to-date and upbeat making my adrenaline rush. I would love to attend one of their classes again soon.
Shower/Dressing Room: Studio has 4 shower rooms so you will have to wait for your turn. There's only one mirror in the changing area too which was kind of a hassle especially for those who need to fix up before going to office.
Lockers: Provided
Other activities: Circuit Boxing, Power Hour (Yoga), Zumba, Pink Mash 'Up (Kangoo Jumps), Hip-Hop, Jaz Danz!, Yogilates, Rip 60, CirQ Fit (Circuit Fitness)

2. Movement Dance Studio - Makati Branch
Makati Sports Club, LP Leviste Street, Salcedo Village, Makati City Philippines
+6328939997, +639333605344, +639053988299
Activity: Zumba
Schedule: 6:30 PM - 7:30 AM
The instructor was friendly, he immediately introduced himself to me knowing that it was my first time in his class. The instructors don't talk during the session, they just signal with their hands as to which way to go and how many repetitions per step. Their routine was more challenging too.
This studio is great for those living nearby but unfortunately not for me. =(
Shower/Dressing Room: Only downside is that their studio has only one shower room and an open room as a dressing room. Shower rooms for me is an important factor because I either have to go to office after class o commute home.
Lockers: They have locker rooms available for rental.
Other activities: Punch Bag Aero, Zumba Fitness, Aerial Silk (Mix), Pole Dance (Mix), Taekwondo, Pole Beginner, Striptease Pole, Belly Dance, Dance Mix, High Heels, Jazz Adult, Pole Dance, Gymnastics Beginner, Gymnastics Advance

3. Bikram Yoga - Makati Branch
15/F 88 Corporate Center, 141 Valero St., Cor Sedeno St., Salcedo Village, Makati
+6325768391
Activity: Bikram Yoga
Schedule: 6:00 PM - 7:30 PM
The class was 90 minutes long and the room was heated. It felt like I was in a sauna and boy did I sweat a lot - and I mean a LOT! After 30 minutes doing the poses, I felt short of breath that I didn't think that I could survive the whole class. I felt really proud of myself that I was able to finish the entire class. It was a great experience and I would love to do it all over again.
Shower/Dressing Rooms: There were 4 shower rooms and 3 dressing rooms so expect a long queue after class.
Lockers: Lockers are available but you have to bring your own padlock.
Rentals: Bring your own Yoga Mat and Towels but you can always opt to rent from them.
Yoga Mat - Php50; Towel - Php40
Other activities: Zumba

4. Options Studio Inc
#103 G/F Nobel Plaza 110 Valero Street, Salcedo Village, Makati City
+635533314, +635851404
Activity: Core Reform
It was my first time to try out Pilates so I made sure to be in the studio 30 minutes early. I had a few minutes one on one with my instructor to orient me with the equipment to be used and also to orient me with the correct posture throughout the session. I had really hard time to follow the instructions maybe because I don't know my body well enough yet. It was a challenging class and based on my experience the class I believe concentrates more on body strengthening. I did not sweat much but I can feel my arms, thighs and abs sore after the class.
Tips/Suggestion: If you are a beginner, they suggest you take Foundation Mat or Core Reform classes.
Shower/Dressing Rooms: No shower room. So this class is a No-No if you plan to go to work after.
Lockers: Provided with keys
Items for Sale: They sell toe socks with grips starting at Php799
Other activities: CORE REFORM, BOUNCE AND TONE, CORE REFORM NR, CARDIOLATES, CORE SUSPEND, CORE REFORM LEVEL 2, PAI MAT, CORE REFORM LEVEL 1, BUTT AND THIGHS, FOUNDATION MAT

5. Bliss Yoga - Makati
Unit 203 Plaza One Hundred, VA Rufino Street cor Dela Rosa Street Legaspi Village, Makati City
+6325511485
Activity: Vinyasa Flow Jivamukti

My body got super sore a day after my class because Jivamukti is not really meant for beginners. The class involves lots of difficult poses so I definitely had a hard time catching up. The room was not heated but you will still get sweaty after 30 minutes into the practice. I love how the room is shaped like an eye and the idea that the room had no mirrors which helped me more to focus on myself than be conscious of my body. Would love to come back to this studio but will make sure to take Gentle Flow or Vinyasa Flow next time.
Shower/Dressing Rooms: Two spacious shower rooms and two dressing rooms
Lockers: Lockers are available but you have to bring your own padlock.
Rentals: Php50 for mats
Other activities: Power Yoga, Vinyasa Series, Vinyasa Flow, Jivamukti Yoga, Yin, Gentle Flow

I am almost done with my 30 days trial and so far I am loving it! I always look forward to my next class every time I complete one. There's so much more I want to try out like boxing, archery, shooting, wall climbing ... so I guess I'll be staying with KFit for a long time.

If you want to try out KFit for free, register through my invite link. Enjoy!
