Me and my husband are fond of seafood dishes and there's a restaurant nearby that serves exactly that.
Fiesta Island Seafood House a.k.a. F.I.S.H. is located in 47 Visayas Ave. corner Congressional Ave., Brgy. Pasong Tamo, Quezon City.
We went to F.I.S.H. to have our dinner and the place was packed when we went there. We were seated in one of their air-conditioned rooms, which was a bad idea because it was just too noisy. There's a television inside but with bad reception. So much for setting the atmosphere.
All the waiters and waitresses were so busy that it took them around 10 minutes to provide us with a menu. We then decided to order Kinilaw na Tanigue, Binusog na Pusit (Stuffed Squid) and baked scallops. However, there was no one in sight to take our orders. I had to go out of the room and stopped one of the waitress for her to get our order.
After numerous follow ups, our orders finally came after almost an hour of waiting. I was disappointed seeing the food because their portions were surprisingly small - definitely not worth their prices. We were also informed that the scallops were unfortunately not available
You can just imagine how hungry we both were when the food arrived.
The tanigue was sadly not fresh =(
The squid feels like its still a bit raw on the head. It's stuffed with alamang (shrimp paste), tomatoes, white onion and siling labuyo (green chili). It's served without sauce so we had to request for some soy sauce and vinegar to go with it because it was kind of bland on its own.
Overall, I don't think we will be coming back to this place. Maybe we were just unlucky because there were too many people when we dined that night. Nevertheless they should have been prepared knowing that many graduates will be flocking in that night.
And since we were not at all satisfied, we went to Cha Dao just a few step away from F.I.S.H. to drink some good milk tea to fill our appetite.
