I had a really hard time planning for our wedding in Zamboanga City because not many information are posted on the internet regarding available receptions and caterers. It was especially hard for me because I was working in Manila. Good thing my mom was in Zamboanga and she would be the one to go to places and make reservations.
So as to help out fellow couples planning to get married in Zamboanga, listed below are some of the places I have inquired. But please do note that prices may not be up to date since these are 2012 rates. Happy preps!
1. Lantaka Hotel by the Sea
NS Valderrosa St., Zamboanga City
Tel. (062) 991-2033 to 35
Starting Rate: Php 300/person (subject to change based on the chosen food items in the menu)
Reservation Fee: Php 5,000 (non refundable)
Minimum: 30 pax for small banquets, 250 pax for large banquets
Standard Menu (Buffet Service): 2 choice of salad, 4 main courses, 2 choice of dessert, steamed rice, 1 round soft drinks
Inclusions:
* Free use of the banquet area for five hours
* Basic sound system
* Decorations / set-up / platforms / carpets
* 1 room for an overnight stay (for a reservation of 100 guests above)
Bring-in items without corkage: lechon, cake, peanuts/candies
Bring-in items with corkage:
- softdrinks / beer php200 per case
- wine / liquot php200 per bottle
- open bar php2,000
- food cart php500 per unit
- lights and sounds php1,000
Other charges:
- Extended hour php500/hour
- Additional areas php2,500
As for their hotel rates they have standard rooms ranging from php1,452 up to 2,112. Their suites start from php 3,500 up to 10,000. They also offer loft suites where rates start from php10,00 up to 15,000.
2. Garden Orchid Hotel
Governor Camins Avenue, Zamboanga City

Starting Rate: Php 280/person
Menu: 1 choice of salad, 4 main courses, 1 dessert, steamed rice, 1 round soft drinks
Add-ons available: assorted fresh fruits (php25/pax), choco fountain (php5,000 for 100pax), welcome drinks and peanuts (php25/pax), Japanese platter (php3,000/platter), lechon (php3,500), etc.
Corkage fees:
- Lechon php150/lechon
- Roast calf php500/head
- Soft drinks php150/case
- Beer php150/case
- Wine php150/bottle
- Liquor php300/bottle
- Additional viands php500/dish
Their hotel room rates start from php3,000 up to 6,500. Their suites start from php10,000 to 12,000.
3. Hacienda de Palmeras Hotel
Pasonanca Road, Zamboanga City

Starting Rate: Php 260/person
Menu: 1 choice of salad, 4 main course, 2 choice of rice, 1 dessert, 1 round soft drinks
Their room rate is php1,830 for single occupancy and php2,196 for twin sharing/queen rooms.
4. Regency Astoria
Scout Limbaga, Pasonanca Park, Zamboanga City
Tel. (062) 990-1900 / 926-1111
Starting Rate: Php 230/person
Minimum reservation for convention is 300 persons and Gazebo and Pavillion is 50 persons.
Menu: 1 choice of salad, 4 main course, 2 choice of rice, 1 dessert, 1 round soft drinks
Inclusion:
* Free use of sound system
* Letterings (up to 5 words)
* Minimal decorations
* Room set-up
