We were celebrating Mark's birthday and were there to support Mike on his 2nd paid gig. The show was titled: Comedy Hits Vol. 4 with Mike, GB Labrador, Derf Hebrado, Muman Reyes and Alex Callejas. I did not know anyone of them aside from Alex who has been a regular at Boys Night Out and of course Mike; PERO GRABE,
I haven't laughed that hard for a looooong time. Isang buong oras akong nagiiiyak at nangalay yung panga ko sa kakatawa. It was a great and dangerous show! You have to be careful when drinking your beer as they might drop a punchline mid-drink -- nun lang ako nag-sip ng beer. And this is a different kind of comedy from other famous comedy bars. Walang asaran ng audience, walang slapstick and you stand up alone with no one to catch your punchlines but the audience. WOW!
As for the other things that night, I can't fully remember them. Food is okay, venue is okay. Company was great and we all enjoyed laughing the night. We had so much of a great time that I can't even remember the last time we stayed out past midnight (matatanda na, hahahaha).
Mike's routine was nice, some polishing on delivery maybe. The other performers were good as well. From GB who opened and hosted the event up to "The Master" Alex who killed it. I really admire what they were doing, I can't imagine the horror of standing in front of strangers, making jokes, and actually be funny.
So we went home about 1 AM and all I can think while driving home is when can I watch another show by Comedy Manila.
