Getting back in shape with KFit

I have tried really hard to get back in shape through diet but always gain back lost weight over the weekend. Exercise was never an option for me because I get bored easily going to gym because I don't have a routine thus I get less motivated every time.

Lucky for me that I found KFit and I was invited to join them for a free 30 days trial. KFit gets you access to many fitness studios, classes and gyms throughout Metro Manila with just one monthly membership fee of Php999. Their list of activities is really extensive that you'll be overwhelmed as to which class to attend first. Some of the activities that caught my attention are: Zumba, Boxing, Yoga, Dance classes, Shooting, Archery, Swimming, Wall Climbing and of course Gym access.

Balik Alindog with Sexy Chef

It has been awhile that I have not checked my weight and to my dismay I have once again gained the weight that I have previously lost plus more pounds. I have not been exercising and have also not been watching what I eat. I guess I was too stressed and busy that's why.

Now I have decided to get back in track and so I turn to my favorite diet meals, The Sexy Chef. They recently contacted me to inform me of their new diet plan called Sexy Delicious. This plan is not available through their website and I am not sure why. It costs Php1900 for 5 days which is their most affordable 1200-calorie/day eating plan to date. The plan includes 4 meals a day (breakfast, snacks, lunch and dinner) and delivery within Metro Manila.

Day 1

Breakfast - Brown Rice Arroz Caldo with Tofu & Coffee
Lunch - Meatly Cubana Rice
Snacks - Sugar-free Chocolate Mousse
Dinner - Stir-fried Korean Noodles

3D2N Dipolog-Dapitan Itinerary and Budget 2015

While my hubby's parents are in the Philippines, we wanted to treat them to a historical vacation in Dipolog and Dapitan for them to be able to explore the place where Jose Rizal was exiled.

Our trip was not thoroughly planned because not much information can be found on the net. Hopefully this blog post can guide travelers planning to go to Dipolog and Dapitan.

Note: Prices posted are based on our 2015 trip. Check respective sites for updated prices.

Sarap maging kid with Inipit! #NoLimitWithInipit

I have recently got into baking and it kept me busy. Too busy that I am not able to make cakes for my family's own occasions. I would love to find a recipe where I can easily create great desserts with less the time and attention. Then by chance I came upon a contest by Lemon Square to create a dessert using their soft and fluffy Inipit. Me and my hubby took the challenge after some brainstorming we finally came up with the perfect unique dessert!

Ladies and gents, let us present to you two of our dessert collaboration - Chocolate Pudding Inipit and Strawberry Jelly Inipit. Did we get your attention? Read on to learn how to make these easy desserts...

Jill's Empire

I've been tasked to have a bigger role on this blog while Jill is busy building up her empire!

Check Jill's Cups and Cakes to see what Jill has been up to.
Malay nyo may magustuhan kayong orderin!

In the mean time, please bear the changes to the site. I'll try to be as active as possible (I have a Clark Kent job).

And apologies in advance for the added kakornihan and cheesiness of this site :p

Things to know when traveling to: Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam

Jill and I spent the April holidays doing a tri-city trip across Vietnam and Cambodia. Our first stop was Ho Chi Minh City, where we stayed for 2 days and 3 Nights (we arrived midnight April 3).

I haven't been able to finish the full blog, so here's short post on notable things that you should know when going to Ho Chi Minh. Some of these I read from blogs before going to the trip and some I learned as we were there.

Time

  • The plane ride takes about 2.5 hours.
  • Vietnam is 1 hour behind the Philippines.
    • Take note of your plane's arrival time esp. when coming back to Manila
Money

  • The Vietnamese currency is Dong (VND).
  • Bring US Dollars (USD).
    • I didn't notice any Peso rate for currency exchange so it's safer to have a stash of dollars. Also, USDs are more useful in Cambodia compared to other currencies, such as Euro.
    • You can buy USDs from banks or money changers such as Sanry's. Just check which one offers the most favorable rate.
    • Some bank needs you to pre-order dollars for exchange, which might take a week to be ready.
  • You can exchange USDs for VNDs at the airport or hotel.
    • Unless you carried an obscene amount of dollars, trying to find the best rate might not be worth it.
    • Rate of exchange would be 1 USD = 21,000 VND
      • The rate we got was: 1 USD = 21,549 VND
    • The smallest Dong bill is 1,000 VND
  • Quick trick for checking VND to PHP: 1,000 VND is approx. 2 PHP.

HOW TO: Get a U.S. Visa

My mom has been pushing us to get our US Visa for some time now so we can visit them and our relatives in the US. They were asking us to go to the US last August for a reunion but Jill and I was too busy [procrastinating] to process our papers.

After putting off our application and interview for more than half a year, we were able to get our visa last January 2015

Here are steps that we did to apply for our Visas. The US Embassy website has steps listed but it's not really that clear and details seem lacking that I had to do some guess work to complete.
